Dear Comrades, I think that the recent developments in the movement give some answers to number of questions we had about various issues in the past 15 years of ourselves being a ruling party in our democracy, new and foreighn cultures, suppression of dissident views, public rebuking of each other by our NEC members and all manner of other elements and tendencies. All these foreighn tendencies emerged because of one realisation (by Lekota and his ilk) that the new realities in our society are now posing new challenges to our movement as both the liberation movement and te ruling party and therefore posing challenges to our leadership. They observed with anxiety that their inability to lead would soon be exposed and new leadership will emerge out of democratic processes of the movement and thus started to be pro active in cultivating the ground by then already to come to the so called a breakaway today postulating all manner of things that they are alleging in the movement. They are comfortably making references to their mischivious bahaviors before Polokwane because they knew they were premeditating their security in the form of this breakaway that time already. to those comrades who want to give status and allow themselves to be fooled by this Lekota personal wealth insurance ininitiative! I have this question to ask How in their new party will they recognise and exercise the organisational democracy if any (different from that of the ANC) from which they ran way and never wanted to accept its out comes. Which or how many other breaak aways would Lekota and his ilk perpetrate every time their inability to lead is exposed by history? I agree with some of the comrades that we should not expel them, rather lets engage them through our nec and make it even more difficult for them to explain their actions. Amandla

These are times when the our movement's ability to apply political strategies and tactics is put to test. I was delighted by the calm response of the NEC towards this provocation, when they are unanimusly calling for "unity in the movement, and listening to the concerns of the ANC members". The actions by the terrible Terror demonstrate that they have finalized their preparations for the formation of the new party, and nothing that the ANC will say can change their minds nor plans. These political hooligans do realize that their previous uncomradely actions, when they were in charge of the ANC and government, have alienated them from the masses within our ranks, mainly the working class and the poor, and they are pushing us to expel them, so that they can look as victims. I don't think we are in any way shaken by these pronouncements or threats by Lekota & Co., but all we are saying is that let us not play into their hands. The ANC knows that these hooligans have resolved on their plans, and I don't think that there is any one who is genuinly trying to stop them from either leaving the ANC or forming their own party. The intention is to minimize the impact that these actions might have within our movement firstly and on the opinion of the South African public in general. If they think they are going to win the battle of publicity and galvanizing public opinion, then let us beat them in their game by amending the rules of the game instead. They will ultimately disappear into oblivion, like many others who have parted ways with the ranks of our movement. We must bear in mind that they still have the backing of the capitalist media houses who will do anything possible to weaken our revolutionary movement. Our immediate task as the ANC, SACP and COSATU should be that of consolidating our organizational structures and ensuring that they take a lead in winning the public opinion on this issue. These hooligans are intending to use our own constitutional structures to sow confusion and divisions.
