Comrades Response to the open letter by Helen Zille dated February 19, 2009. Titled Dear Mr Zuma, please stand down.
Priestess Culprit Helen Zille and her waterloo battalion are never tired of making fools of themselves. The self appointed High Priestess of the quasi-democracy politics is not relenting in her game of smear campaigning politics. Let Mr Zuma’s legal team make use of constitutional recourse they have in their mandate of defending Zuma. The two processes namely the nomination of Zuma by his party to be its president and the Legal process currently pursued by the NPA are two different and distinct processes, independent of each other, except that each has within itself constitutional elements. Mr. Zuma did not assume the leadership of the ANC through graft and deceit but through a process that was transparent and wholly democratic. In case on those decisive days that catapulted Zuma at the presidency of the ANC, you decided to switch off your brain or your TV set because you were too scared to watch democracy in making, then Ms Zille please accept the facts and stop your notorious trademark of switching facts for dreams. Accept the fact that ANC confirmed its trust on Zuma at the height of most spiteful media trial against our leader, so spiteful that it brought back memories of vicious assaults of apartheid propaganda machinery on our gallant movement and its leaders, in those days when your contribution to the apartheid democracy was to argue about measurement of what must stay in the nationalist hands and what must be passed to the hands of the liberals. The “democracy” that you understand is the one that deposit the wealth of South Africa into your folk while we remain in shacks and debilitating debt. May we otherwise thank you for your usual urge to belittle Zuma and the ANC as it is through this urge that you have linked your hate speech to the process that is so highly detested by our people, namely, the political incited and delegated NPA charges against our leaders and our president in particular. Ms. Zille you have never once relented in your efforts to distort the meaning, practice substance of democracy and constitution, just like it is for constitution that you tap your political opponents phones, you patronise the blacks within your party- all in all manifestation of spiteful yet empty politics. Ms Zille the truth is that you will never relent until that time that you see political power reverting back in the hands of your folk, so stop disguising your intentions. Mr Jacob Zuma is a leader with strong leadership qualities and this fact will not be wished away by your cantankerous and panicky letter writing exercises whose really intention is to hunt support for NPA. You and your NPA and all those behind these senseless charges better acknowledge the fact that the ANC and the people of our country will defend and ensure the continued existence of the ANC.
