Cde Sviwe really cdes have forgot what is their politically mandate but they are now agents of those who got interest on leading the province but on issues of susbtance they are nowhere to be found.I find it strange that even when Mluleki is no more on this movement this region is still led by those who are on the same parameters with him. I request the comrades from other Regions, Provinces to advise the Eastern Cape ANCYL leadership, which has become arrogant. The branches in Amathole Region are collaspsing. We have a Regional Task Team since September 2008, and not a single branch launched in preparation to the congress, instead the RTT comrades are used to lobby for who must be the Chairperson of the ANC in the coming Provincial conference, they totally forget their mandate to build branches, but with the back -up of the ANCYL Provincial Secretary they are still the RTT members. They are now attending ANC BGMs as deployees of the ANC RTT preparing for the ANC Provincial Conference, no ANCYL at all. There are ANC cadres in Amathole & Eastern Cape who want to use the ANCYL for their own material benefits. Some of us are victimised when we are not allowing them to use us as spades, thats why I really support what Comrade Thanyani is saying. The name PYA is a history in this region, the name RGC is history. We explained this to some comrades of the PEC and ANCYL NEC who are progressive. Comrades please intervene in Amathole, Eastern Cape. Normaly young people themselves should convince each other politicaly not other way round. The challenge we are facing as young people is when the ANC comrades and Leadership are becoming envolved in the lobying. Openingly so they move around with delegates promising them jobs. this is part of an ill disciplined membes of the ANC who want to use the ANCYL for their own material benefits. some of us we are victimised by not allowing them to use us as spades. of course things happen they can win at the end of the day. but my biggest worry is that of autonomy of the ANCYL in which the ANC leadeship will claim the victory of the Congress of the ANCYL and direct the incoming leadership what to do and what not to do.
