Comrade Vilakazi,

The issue of a union starts with a member who consciuosly join a union and
the entrust few people in leadership to lead without participation in the
lower structures. I think your Mpumalanga branch leaders were left off the
hook by you taking an explaination that they were never briefed about
negotiations, why did they do as branch leaders?

I would appreciate a discussion on the role of the revolutionary trade union
at this moment in our country, in particular in the public sector. A
progressive agreement exists between our movement, The ANC and SADTU on
teachers that must in schools, on time, teaching during working time. I have
not heard the same from other public sector unions.

Should we not discuss if indeed the teachers are doing what they promised
the President of our Country? There are many questions to be asked, for
example why do our nurses treat patients better when they are moonlighting
in a private hospital, but not in a public hospital, why do teachers who
teach in model c schools do the basics correctly and not the same in a rural
school?

Last but not least, who is a union?

Amandla,

Cedric
