Comrades beyond the envisaged AGM of Cassius Maake in Ward 09 Madibeng
Sub-Region, it remains painstaking to realize that all most 4 to 12
ANCYL almost lost their lives after AGM did not proceed with its own
object. Cde Senzo allotted on what happened during the processes of
making sure that the branch is been re-established but unfortunately REC
deployee opted to dissolve BEC with intention of establishing Branch
Task Team as membership was told that they would be informed on who
would form part of that Task Team and since everybody was rejoicing, we
left convincingly that unity and cohesion seem to take its course.
Around 09H30 I received shocking news that ANCYL members were knocked
off by car, whom the driver intentionally wanted to kill ANC Branch
Chairperson since He is convinced that He is the one responsible for
community bodies opposing councillors political guidance. ANCYL in ward
09 is a vibrant branch like other branches in Madibeng so obviously it
pose threat to what councillor seeks to achieve against ANC and young
people would never leave her unchallenged hence were knocked off. How
one understand organization is that young people must see to it that
they protect integrity of the ANC by fighting these mishaps and has
learned through deep pains that something is bound to happen in that
Branch can some be aid to that branch cause I don't see a point where
unity of organizational members would be threatened by Goliath. This
series of disbandment ought to bring outcome that are not objective in
line with what we want to achieve.

Where is this term disbandment coming from. The constitution of the
ANCYL that I am a proud member of does not have any clause that speaks
of this "disbandment".

I fully agree with Senzo, this "disbandment" is used by upper structures
to weaken the organisation. The code of conduct of the ANCYL no longer
applies. When last did we here about a DC in the ANCYL after the Reuben
Mohlaloga's DC hearing? Is disbandment a substitute of effecting changes
through proper corrective measures as enshrined in our precious code of
conduct.

History is yet to judge the leadership that shifts responsibility of
leading structures by getting rid of them. The soul of the ANCYL will be
asked from them. Unlike our souls that according to religious people
goes elsewhere, one wonders where the soul of the organisation will go
to.

Politics of jealous, greed, corruption, nepotism and other social ills
dominates our shores. Nonestarters are requited and given lot of money
and other material benefits to fight loyal members of the organisation.
Others take advantage of poverty to exploit our unemployed brothers and
sisters by promising them jobs so that they can vote for a particular
candidate. Others do not recruit but goes to the nearest sheebeens and
fill membership forms of the ANCYL with the names of those drunk young
people and organise them for an AGM with the promise of liquor.

This tendencies are but a recipe for disaster. Political leadership
positions are used as a ladder to material prominance and perpetuation
of greed and accumulation of capital. I think that the application of
through the eye of the needle is but a myth.

Are we leaderless? Cant we elect leaders without and material influence?
What happened to traceable credentials and political seniority? When
will this malady be curbed?

I pause!!

Cde's i think the issue fo disbandment has become a weapon used to exact
influence and destroy the organisation. Recently he have observed a
series of disbandment without realy providing support to structures of
the organisation.i will set these two e.g.

North West PEC disbandment: the situation is deteriorating in this
province on the daily basis because the disbandment did not address the
core organisational issues.U still have anarchy done by those who are
agrived by the fact that the PEC was disbanded. The so called Gwede Vs
Mbaks dibacle is playing itslef out very seriously in these
processes.Redeployment is of cde's is being done without consultation
with branches of the ANC.

i was recently in a Branch General Meeting of a ANCYL branch in Madibeng
ward 09(cassius maake) branch. the meeting was scheduled as an AGM.The
infighting of the BEC led to this branch having 340 members. only 100
members are active. when the REC announced its BEC disbandment as a
result of their incompetency to unite and work together all members
rejoiced and celebrated.

Two questions came to mind, why are we celebrating the weakness of our
organisation??

why are so preocupied with personality issues??

We should begin looking at other alternative ways in re-building the
organisation.

Disbandment should not be a tool of replacing factions.

i salute!!

Comrades with regards to series of disbandment of structures
experienced. I wish to caution comrades that they should avoid playing
big brother to each other through this medium. The worst scenario is in
the North-West, where positions has became the order of our movement.
Antagonism is rife whilst physical force is being employed in the
organization by those who has passion to rally young people under the
banner of ANC and you still have those who are in the notion of second
task to champion the general interests of young people. Some they are
still aggrieved that they lost in first and second leg of our National
Conference. Some were happy whilst some disputed the appointment of the
recent Acting Provincial Secretary in the North-West, matter became
worse during process of NYDA since some you will recall what happened
when Premier also appointed Tshwane Legae whom was expected to
coordinates towards the establishment of PYDA matter became worse and we
never had anything from ANCYL PEC. Alternate to that guidelines were
provided in respect of launching branches. The exhibition is that,
guidelines are being floundered as a result of wanting to be in PYDA
against the objectives of the organization. Time out comrades but hope
you becoming aid to this serious matter.
