Cde Oupa, I have been quiet for some time now. I resisted temptation to discuss individuals and personalities but you left me with no option except to respond to your issues. Cde Julius is the President of the ANCYL. The ANCYL is an organisation of young people with membership, culture, history and tradition like all other organisations. It remains a youth wing of the ANC and an integral part of the ANC. This forum should therefore not seek to replace the membership of the ANCYL. It has no power or nor is it a lobby forum to remove constitutionally elected leaders of progressive organmisations like the youth league. Cde Julius has behaved in a manner that the ANCYL membership which includes myself and others should scrutinise and check if he is fit or not to lead us but this will be done in a constitutional national structure of the ANCYL. It is politically correct for the provincial structures of the ANCYL to defend the President of the ANCYL. A defence of the leader is a defence of the organisation and that is as just simple. We cannot read your venomous piece to stop Cde Julius "venom". The attack you have levelled on the ANCYL President is baseless and senseless. You should not drag this forum into believing that ypou hold a yardstick to measure who is right and who is wrong in the Julius/Cronin-SACP issue. Please Cde Oupa, revisit basics of organisational writings definitely you will come across issues of organisational discipline, democratic centralism, organisational culture, norms and values.
