Indeed I welcome the statement of the District it really reflects that fact that the alliance in Cape Town has not been dealing with the core issues that affect the poor people in townships in and around Cape Town. The call for an urgent alliance meeting is the most progressive move in determining the core issues and in preparation for local government elections next year but this should be the lesson throughout the country.
