Statements like your "Cdes it is a reality that some senior members of ANC do undermine the ANC when deployed to governance" are no different from the constant DA bourgeois propaganda that says "The ANC is corrupt". This is the fight we fought and won around the candidacy of Jacob Zuma for President.
To be different from the DA in this respect you would have to name names, and not only name names but give evidence. We have always said that if corruption is proved we must be the first to denounce it. When I say "we", I mean those of us who have come through the struggles of the last eight to ten years, including Cdes Vavi and Jim whom you name, but also including many others. Cde Songezo you are defending the indefensible if you demand a right to make unevidenced accusations against comrades. Don't you remember Bulelani Ngcuka and the Scorpions? Don't you remember the persecution of Ngoako Ramatlhodi and many others like him? People who were dragged in front of television cameras in handcuffs and accused of corruption, only to be released and left to fend for themselves without even any formal charges or evidence that they could challenge? The recent ANC NWC statement on this matter was well-considered and is a good basis for going forward, whereby everybody can retain his dignity, but unfounded generalisations and unevidenced accusations will stop.
