IT Learnership for unemployed matriculants

In Standard Bank we believe that by developing our people, society
strengthens and this in turn builds economic capability for the future;

own future and that of our country.


The IT Learnership for unemployed matriculants in Gauteng province will
contribute to this by giving those who otherwise would not have, an
opportunity receive a Diploma in Information Technology, NQF level 5,
with
a total of 229 credits.


Applications for the ITBLP (Information Technology Business Learnership
Programme) are officially open and will close on 31 August.


The duration of the course is 18 months, comporiosing a year of
institutional training and six months of workplace training.


The courseware includes the following courses: Programming Java,
Computer
Security; Mainframe; Programming Websphere; and Programming Cobol.


If vacant posts are available, employment may be offered on successful
completion of the course.


Admission requirements


The programme offers limited opportunities to applicants who satisfy the
following admission requirements:
     South Africans who have matriculated and meet the minimum entry
     requirements for higher education as set out by the Department of
     Education, with above average pass mark in Mathematics and English
     Applicants be willing to study and stay in the Gauteng Province
     Applicants must be willing to undergo screening assessments for a
     non-refundable fee of R 80.00
     Applicants must have no bad credit rating (including debt incurred
at
     other Universities)
     Applicants must have no criminal record
     Applicants must have SA Citizenship
