Labour Courthas extended the Interim Order towards the 30th September 2010
POPCRU has received an Interim Court Interdict as applied for by the Department
of Correctional Services on a matter that was before the Honourable Mr. Justice
Van Niekerk on the following terms;
1.1. All members of the 1st Respondent-POPCRU, who are employees of the
Applicant-DCS, are interdicted from embarking on a strike.
1.2. The Respondents-POPCRU are interdicted from promoting, encouraging or
supporting the participation in a strike by all members of the Applicant.
POPCRU is expected to file if necessary a further affidavit by the 15th
September 2010 and the DSC may file a replying affidavit by the 25th September
2010.
The matter is enrolled for hearing on the 30th September 2010 at 10H00.
