Thank you for your question Cde Lusuko. I am sure you know the answer.

We have to be aware of what is happening and if possible we have to be among
the first to be informed of what is happening.

Let me state once again very directly, although it has been well stated here
more than once and recently: Posting an article does not by itself imply
approval or disapproval.

Comrades should be paying attention, whether they intend to approve or to
disapprove. This initiative of the renegade Satgar is one of a number of
moves, between which one must be able to discriminate very clearly. Last
week the Western Cape TAC denounced the Abahlali base Mjondolo and the
Abahlalis replied. The Party also partly denounced the Abahlalis. The
Western Cape SACP issued a long and very valuable and very frank statement
that was to be delivered to COSATU on Friday. During the coming week there
will be an event in Boksburg that is a rival to Vishwas Satgar's coming
conference. The Boksburg one is billed as a "civil society" conference, and
Zwelinzima Vavi will be speaking there, as will the TAC's Mark Heywood. Now
this CoDL conference is announced (but without a venue).

My opinion is that no conference of NGOs should be held up in comparison
with the organic National Democratic Revolutionary Alliance. Such gatherings
are ad hoc, which is not to say that they are of no significance at all.

The Western Cape SACP statement was very good, in my opinion. I hope you got
it.

As usual, the way to social, collective learning is through dialogue. Rather
than question me, why not give leadership of your own in relation to all
these activities, Comrade Luzuko?

With best revolutionary wishes,

VC
