Media Release

POPCRU welcomes the celebrations to mark a campaign to reduce road fatalities

POPCRU has noted the call by the Minister of Transport on the World Day of
Remembrance of Road Accident Victims on making South African roads safe and
secure for all citizens. As a country we must accelerate a programme that will
enhance sound road users behaviour to take encourage taking responsibility
whilst using the roads. And this becomes prudently relevant as we approach the
festive seasons wherein majority of workers in particular and our citizens in
general are all heeding to their respective homes and/or holiday destinations.

A safe and secure nation is a foundation of a National Democratic Society we
are
working hard to achieve.

We are calling our members across all Provinces, who are Traffic Officers to be
vigilant to curb any loss of life on our roads.
