The Department of Water Affairs has more than 1400 vacant posts from all
provinces that have to be filled before 31 March 2011. HR has decided to
run a recruitment project and fill all these posts in one week (7-11 Feb
2011).

regions and the project will run on the same week in all provinces
that are affected. On the last page of this document you will see
the centers where the applications will be sent and interviews
take place.
* Just to brief you on how this is going to work as I am part of the
project team for head office (PTA):
* Under each post there is an interview date, this means you go to
the venue physically on the date of the interview with your fully
completed Z83 and attachments
* Your application will be checked to see whether you qualify for
the post you are applying for or not
* If you don't, you are advised of other posts that are relevant to
you and you re-apply. Z83's will be available there
* If you do qualify, you are scheduled for an interview on the spot
* People with minimum requirements as stipulated on the advert for
each post will get first preference
* After the interview, you go home and you get a call before the end
of the day to inform you whether you got the post or not
* The following day you go to the same venue to pick up your
appointment letter at 08h00 if you were successful and have until
10h00 the same day to accept or decline.
* The appointment letter will be on condition that a proper
screening and security clearance will be done on you and should
there be anything found on you then the offer will be withdrawn
and the next successful candidates will get the post. I am sure
you are all clean.
* You are welcome to apply for more than one post.
