I personally congratulates SASCO Gauteng for being bold by giving us another side of the story. The arrogance, supression of independent thinking & descending views experienced in our organisations is grossily disturbing. Politics of factionalism & patronage are eating our organisations alive, stand up students & be counted. The hopes of the poor & the workers begin to depend on you as a reliable force of revolution.Nothing can come so true than what you said in your statement, I quote'as the dominant stakeholder in higher education nothing about us can be done without us. You are not just a student body but a reliable force of the mass democratic movements, you demonstrated that by throwing an unqualified support behind striking workers especially the public service strike, wherein others forces were found wanting in their support to the noble course of worker's struggle. Your contributions were not gone unnoticed, we know as workers & the poor that one day your body will supply one of the finest leadership to all liberation movements & only then freedom will became meaningful to the workers & poor, who are voters who put the current government in power.
The Vanguard is vanishing every day, workers & the poor are exposed, the predatory capitalists both within our rank & file & outside do as they wish & revolution is sinking & losing its essence. Let us mobilise, educate & organise our people beyond student population to keep the candle up & light the way to socialist future. We should note that one of form of struggle which we should consider to be fundamental is the struggle against our own weaknesses.I am convinced that if our revolution is not going to be based on knowledge of this fundamental reality, we run grave risk of being condemned to failure.
