*Dear Comrade, Gugu Ndima*

It is sad that you have left the YCLSA, but wherever you are going you
should remain true to your convictions and love for humanity. You will
forever be a rose that defied nature by growing inside apartheid slums of
Vosloorus and learned to speak against the brutal and barbaric Capitalist
system.

Owing to your class background, you refused to be co-opted by the system as
personified by Khanyi Mbau and the ‘apolitical’ Ayoba youth of today that
stays in Sandton and Knysna. Your articulations or sound-bites were like
spewing on the face Barak Obama, the CEO of the capitalist ruling class in
the world. Your deep hatred of class exploitation and inequalities is like
your grandmother or grandfather’s hatred of what Verwoerd apartheid system
did to dehumanize our people. Your smile mirror’s the happiness that awaits
the working class in a Socialist Republic of South Africa. Your appetite for
revolutionary knowledge consumption is enough to feed the working class
youth with the teachings of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Alexandra
Kollontai, as espoused by Joe Slovo, Govan Mbeki, Mzala Nxumalo, Lillian
Ngoyi and Ruth First.

Your love for the masses and the struggle for a just and humane South Africa
is like your Gogo’s melodic early morning hymn – ‘*Jerusalema ikhaya
elingcwele’*. If Ruth First could wake-up from her resting place in
Mozambique, she should be proud to see a young, female, Marxist-Leninist
aspirant like you, dearly committed to the struggle for Socialism. She will
be happy to see that the struggle to defeat patriarchy does not rely on one
being co-opted into a Board of a JSE owned-company or be a Cabinet Minister,
but will require constant mobilisation and massification of ideological
clarity amongst the working class and poor women.

You are part of that generation that is needed today to propagate the ideas
of the working class in the public discourse, amidst the failures of
capitalism to meet the needs of our people. The situation is ripe in the
public discourse for us to assert and make hegemonic the ideas of the
working class, as opposed to rushing to muzzle journalist(who are workers
too) through the establishment of the Media Appeals Tribunal (MAT). The MAT
will not advance the class struggle neither will it deliver Socialism!

All the best and thanks for serving the YCLSA with care and love. Your
contribution and personal sacrifices you took are engraved in the hearts of
millions of young people, from Diepsloot to Zwide, who are yearning for
uFasimba to smash Capitalism so that they conditions can change for the
better. Through your short spell with the YCLSA, you managed to keep the red
flag flying high in the theatre of ideas!

Unlike Tso you did not get the boot, but you decided to continue pursuing
the struggle in a different terrain! Remember your new deployment will not
be televised…But will be tweeted!

The struggle continues…!

*Goebells*
