It is an informal celebration of our Burmese Cultural New Year event. According
to the Burmese culture we usually celebrate the New Year together with 3
activities.1.         Pay respect to our elders in line with Buddhism approach
and get briefing from our elders to the younger generation.2.         Water
festival. Especially young people are playing with water. The theme is to wash
off the bad things and welcome/celebrate to the New Year.3.         Offering
Burmese lunch and cultural dance.Usually our youth and their friends play
(throw each other) with water symbolically during the celebration party and we
hope you will enjoy this kind of activities. We would like to request
especially South African youth visitors to participate in the activities of
“Burmese Water Festival”.As it is an informal celebration, please feel free to
decide your departure time as your convenience way. Our Burmese community is
looking forward to see
you, your family and friends.Date & time    :              Saturday 9th April
