Comrades for the past few years there have been debates both internally and external in the SACP and the YCL, some are very innovative and inspiring, leaving one thinking and inspired.
One has to know that there are no ideological requirements to join the forum, and it is also true that behavior requirements should be at place, but who sets out the rules, is being in the forum entirely on behalves of the views of the Young communist League which by the way is a Democratic organisation, I have had belief that even in this forum like in any other YCL and Party platform should be gorvenred by democracy amongst other principles. How do we define bad behavior is one of a very complex thing that should not be jubjected to an individual nor should it be expectable when is done by one but not when is done by two. We now over the years individuals have been brought to understanding that comrade VC real name Dominic was "moderating" the YCL group CU and many other socialist platforms, well he has done a goodly exceptional work, but he has however failed to adapt to this "generations" manner of engaging in debates, were he in most cases "jumped" the gun through his personal judgement at most time taking offence of the lack of understanding and the will to learn by many of us participation in this blog. In many cases comrades have been burned or blogged to participate on this forum, and explanations were never given to us as a collective to why, and what may have led VC to burn or blog in particular members of the YCL who have in most cases been encouraged in structures of the YCL to participate in this forum, as we had always known to be a platform for all Young people who are aspirant communist, or rather those who are interested in our agenda as the YCL/SACP. Nick Oskroba writes in his first draft of a note Tittled "*Sickle and Swastika: A Comparative Analysis*" that: "*The development of communism and fascism both as ideologies and political movements provides perhaps two of the most significant political developments of the last two centuries. Both ideologies extend into realms far beyond mere political theory, being philosophical, economic, and social as well"* The transcribe above surely tells us how complex can it be trying to understand Marxism/Communism both on a practicality and ideological sense, meaning it means those who are will to assist where possible should have patience and be tolerant of any view/s. IT is important to note that in most cases our understanding should not be internalized through factional lines, or rather deliberately drawn into the "me and them" kind of practice. NO one, meaning no one inclusive of members and leaders of both the Party and the YCL are immune from criticism, its important to note that there is clearly no misconception with me of the meaning of criticism. I am a Marxist and respect views of all those that write on these line "Marxist-Lines" if however there are distortions and intended liberal theories incorporation with Marxism it is within my right or any one for that matter to demystify such, and call a spate a spate, at least that is what I know of the engagements that the Likes of Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Che and many other should have expected us to do, as they did even amongst themselves when they in times disagreed on a number of issues. There is a problem of understanding self defensive modes by comrades when they are told what they are agitating, comrades as I have said above I am a Marxist not an aspirant Marxist, I only aspire to live in a Socialist Republic of South Africa atleast before I die, but this process to transform this Bourgeois State need not me to be friendly to any symptoms of Capitalist ideas, regardless they are also been agitated by my mother or any one for that matter, I will call it as a threat to my course, which I believe is a course for all of us. Firstly I do not believe that "there shall be birth of socialism in the womb of capitalism" if that birth could in anytime arise in my time I would not even closely link it to the Progressive Socialism that Marx, Lenin and many of the comrades before us agitated for. Of course Marx himself never had time frames on when shall we/ or how long shall it take those who believe in his theories to transform a Capitalist/Bourgeois state to that of the Socialist one, but we cant however in every time want to act as if SA is slowly transforming itself to a socialist state, if that is possible, the rife of the matter is that we shall have not worked our part as communist to build consciousness amongst workers. Imagine workers taking over the state while they are none-conscious. However comrades I would like to introduce this debate to both Comrade Domza, and comrade Gugu (as we have not been told that she is no longer the moderator of the forum) to allow us to come us with terms of references and codes of conduct that should be end resulted to Burning of a particular comrade who might have violated Democratic terms of conducting yourself in this forum, which I would also urge us to align it to the constitution of the YCL and the Party. I would also request that as we have said in our congresses that we are building a youth mass based organisation, that we allow comrades to commit errors and if possible correct them in Marxist terms or spirit. Therefore I request comrade Gugu and Domza to reinstate anyone that have been burned to participate in this forum, as I would have believed this forum is not own by an individual or atleast should have been run with a democratic"style", none should dictate terms of use if not all of us.
