Cdes we will eagerly await the unfolding of the legal processes against the minister by Blumental and his two guys. People like Blumental have been in the CEO position for longer than they should have been and they only represent the minorities, as a person who has workes with Seta's for the past 9 years my take is that many changes even changing people on driving seats od these organisations are long overdue. The saying that "as the man thinketh so is he" applies to Ivor and his friends and its jsut that prooving it might be a challenge because of many knots here and there in the legal system but if I was the minister I surely would have long instituted investigations on srvices seta. Besides all of this, no organisation can really move forward with one leader almost for 20 years, actually Ivor was there even during the training boards.

As the SACP we welcome the thoroughgoing changes that the Minister of Higher Education has introduced in the SETA landscape. For years skills development and training has been a sector left to the hands of some few white elites who collaborated with their black cronies to empower themselves at the expense of the majority of our people. Tenderpreneurs in the skills sector like Mr Blumenthal are trembling and are desperate to protect their unfair share of the cake.
