Subject: Fwd: On the rape of 4 casual workers and the DA policy on 'job
creation'

On the 5th April 2011 four black casual workers were allegedly raped at
gunpoint by the bosses of the AC Wendy carpentry factory in Blackheath (a
suburb on the outskirts of Cape Town). The workers were allegedly insulted
(including being given names of leading ANC and SACP members) and asked why
they killed AWB leader Eugene Terreblanche.
The DA is silent on this. According to the DA 2011 election manifesto their
policy for Integrated Development Plans (such as the Blackheath corridor) is
to 'take account of the needs of the private sector'. No mention of the
needs of the workers at all, only of the private sector. In fact the DA
places first emphasis on international companies and local capitalists to
create jobs. Well, these same international and local capitalists were
responsible over the past 3 years for the dismissal of over 1 million
workers; even more, these same capitalists have been responsible for the
rise of labour brokers and casual labour with the smashing of workers gains
and massively increased levels of emploitation. We are reminded that at the
first job summit, the proposal of the DA ( and its predecessors) was to
reduce workers wages to R700 a month.

We remember that the first alliance that brought the DA to govern the City
Of Cape Town included the Freedom Front+, whose base idolizes the departed
AWB leader Terreblanche. The opportunism of the DA knows no bounds.

Now we know what the DA means by 'encouraging investors in order to create
jobs'- they will keep silent at the mass economic (and physical) rape of the
working class at the hands of the capitalists. Workers are not regarded as
the productive backbone of the economy but as an 'indigent policy'. [Workers
are told to be thankful to the baas for the few crumbs from the master's
table].

Away with the DA and all capitalist parties!

[this is the first of a series of exposures of the DA; we do not expect the
mainstream media, least of all the voice of the DA, the Independent
Newspapers group of papers, to cover these so we ask workers to take these
into every factory , farm, every workplace and every area]; we are still
waiting for the Cape Times to publish our exposure of the DA's allegations
around the implications of the proposed employment equity amendments.
