YCLSA GERT SIBANDE DISTRICT HONOURS CDE BOMBER NTSHANGASE.
The Young Communist League of South Africa [Ufasimba] Gert Sibande District will be commemorating the one year anniversary of Bomber Ntshangase’s murder and to mark the start of the trail of his suspected murders. * * * YCLSA in Gert Sibande District in celebrating comrade Ntshangase’s life will:* *• Host a memorial lecture, Bethal, Mpumalanga, 08 May 2011* *• Lead a march to Bethal Magistrate Court , 10 May 2011* *• Launch the Ntshangase Family Trust, to assist the Ntshangase family with educational and living costs.* *The memorial lecture is to be delivered by Young Communist League of South Africa, Buti Manamela, on Sunday 08 May 2011 at 14:00, Bethal Civic Centre.* Dumisane “Bomber Ntshangase” dedicated his life to the struggle of South Africa. Bomber was a member of the ANC, SACP, participated in COSATU and a trained soldier of the MK. He distinguished himself by picking up struggles of the ordinary people, especially at Mzinoni township, Bethal. He exposed the challenges of electricity, water sanitation and the appalling situation people were subjected to live under the hostel. He worked with all authorities to resolve it. He himself stayed in a hostel and waged straggles with the other dwellers to get those places to be upgraded into comprehensive residential units they are today. The name Bomber Ntshangase is known throughout the country through his opinions that he shared without failure on SABC radio. In his views one was never in doubt that Bomber a true patriot who lived a full life as a revolutionary. Comrade Bomber was not only an outspoken activist; he was involved practically in the struggles of his people. He ran a project, catering for orphans within the hostel he resided in. Bomber was a well known activist against any form of corruption. It was his anti corruption stances that ultimately lead to his murder. He was gunned down, execution style on 04 may 2010 in his hostel room. Bomber was seen as the main influence against the move by the municipality and he was then shot and killed in his hostel room. At the event of Bomber’s death, Cde Vavi said “it seems that (Ntshangase) is yet another victim of the “tenderpreneurs” in the province (Mpumalanga), who have been assassinating anyone who stands in the way of the greed to accumulate wealth”. After his murder two municipal officials were arrested. They will be appearing in court on 10 May 2011. As the YCLS in Gert Sibande, we are inspired by Comrade Bomber Ntshangase.
