* YCLSA TO LAUNCH “BUA THURSDAY” YOUTH ON POINT TALK SERIES*

“BUA THURSDAYS” Youth on Point Talk Series is brought to you by the Young
Communist League of South Africa and the Rosa Luxembourg Foundation. It is
about doing deeper analysis into the real issues and challenges facing our
society and creating dialogue amongst young people.

The 31st May event will be the launch of “BUA THURSDAY” which will be a
panel discussion hosted by Xolani Gwala. The Panelist are YCLSA National
Secretary Cde *Buti Manamela *and ANC NEC member* *Cde* Joel Netshitenzhe***

* *The launch topic under discussion is as follows: **

*“Competing identities of a National Liberation Movement versus Electoral
Party Politics: Dealing with the Challenges and Sins of Incumbency"*

The intention is to explore the various values and traditions that guided
the National Liberation Movement.

These values include selflessness, sacrifice, inter-party democracy, using
positions in office for personal benefit and many others. There is a
perception that post-liberation politics is dominated by self-service,
greed, corruption, avarice and an extravagant lifestyle by our cadres.

Launch will be as follows:

*Venue: Room B3, Enoch Sontonga Building, University of Johannesburg
(Soweto Campus)*

*Time: 18h30 until 20h00*

*Date: Thursday, May 31st 2012*

The intended audience will be drawn from the Young Communist League of
South Africa, South African Students Congress, and African National
Congress Youth League and also from civil society and Congress of South
African Trade Union affiliates.

The event is open to the Media and Jozi FM will be covering the event.
