*SACP Press Alert, 18 August 2012* *SACP 13th Congress Central Committee, First Meeting*The Central Committee as elected by the 13th National Congress of the South African Communist Party is currently underway.
In the main, the meeting is an induction session for the new Central Committee.
The meeting also assessed the 13th National Congress and received a political programme of action as amended by congress.
It will consider an implementation plan; constitute structures of the Central Committee; and plan for both the 2012 Membership Campaign, and the Red October Campaign.
A post-Central-Committee press briefing will be held as follows:
