*Release all political prisoners in Swaziland now!*

Today the 29th of august in the high court of Swaziland comrade Amos Mbedzi
was back in court to hear the proceeding of the judgement on the case that
has been on the courts since September 2008.

In a four hour summary of the case judge Bheki Maphalala pronounced
comrade Amos Mbedzi guilty of Terrorism, illegal immigration and the murder
of Jack Governder and MJ Dlamini . The final verdict and sentencing was
postponed to the 5th of September 2012.

It must be noted that such a verdict was expected not because comrade
Mbedzi is guilty but because the king had long communicated the verdict of
comrade Amos as of 2008 in a meeting with his regiments . Furthermore the
the proceedings were clouded with technical and legal faults which the
Judge never took into consideration, such as the fact that comrade Amos
Mbedzi was tortured during investigation, and the fact that comrade Amos
Mbedzi is a surviving victim of Tinkhundla terrorism which took the lives
of two of his comrades who died due to the car bomb explosion planted by
tinkhundla agents .

Comrades Bheki and Zonke Dlamini and Roland Rudd who are also victims of
the arbitrary are still waiting for their fate in custody without bail also
with pending cases are comrade Maxwell Dlamini and Musa Ngubeni, all
these comrades have been charged for their political conviction and have
been painted as dangerous criminals by the autocratic tinkhundla regime,
they are all waiting for the formality of the court to try them , this is
an act public relation otherwise the regime has concluded their cases and
instructed their appointed non qualifying conservative judges who are loyal
to the king.

The BREAK THE CHAINS campaign is calling all peace loving people of the
world , organisations and political formation to mount pressure on the
tinkhundla regime to stop the arbitrary arrest of peace loving human rights
activist. Amos Mbedzi is the second political convicted prisoner in a space
of one month after yet another member of the Swaziland Transport Workers
Union comrade Bazel Thwala who was convicted to one year in jail without
an option of a fine (the case has been appealed) for participating in an
industrial action.
