*Violence against foreign nationals is a crime!*
As a community we should condemn the attack on businesses of foreign
nationals yesterday here in Rammolutsi.
The reason for this to happen in the middle of the night is the sign of
clear act of criminal activities. As the organisation we will not
tolerate any form of violence against anyone!
Violent attacks on foreign nationals living in Rammolutsi or elsewhere
in the country will not benefit anyone. In most cases innocent people
are usually victims -- criminals usually escape. The community members
must report these thugs to the police because we all know them.
We also call on communities to be vigilant and report any planned
incidents of violence and xenophobia.
Any violence in our country will reverse all the gains we have made from
hosting the World Cup. The world is watching us even more closely now.
Let's work together to create a better life for all who live in this
beautiful township.
* Let's work together to build our skills and create jobs.
* Let's work together to beat crime.
* Let's respect all who visit or live in South Africa.
* Let us work together to prevent violence against foreign nationals.
Violence is never a solution to any problem.
