This statement is sent in the interest of transparency, so as to expose what people are doing, and because it is high time that the kind of nonsense exhibited here is stopped, once and for all.
The message was received via a posting to the SSN Forum from somebody called Sebanele Dlamini.
VC PUDEMO *PUDEMO Statement, 25 September 2012 * *Launch of Release ALL Political Prisoner's Campaign in Swaziland*Pursuant to the intensified onslaught on our comrades by King Mswati through his Courts, the national executive committee of PUDEMO as earlier mentioned will shortly be launching an all embracing campaign for our political prisoners inside Swaziland in a venue yet to be announced. Comrades and compatriots, on behalf of the oppressed masses of our country, the leadership of PUDEMO and its youth league SWAYOCO wishes to assure you all that, the blows King Mswati and his cronies are throwing at the nerve centre of the Swazi revolution will and shall not deter us into any form of retreat whatsoever.
Our comrades include; Cde: Bheki Dlamini (SWAYOCO President and Pudemo NEC member and yet to be sentenced), Cde Zonkhe Dlamini (Pudemo activist from the south and yet to be sentenced) as well as Cde Amos Mbedzi (PUDEMO Underground operative and SACP Internationalist and already sentenced to 85 years) remain innocent and loyal cadres of this glorious movement of the people, no matter what dubious charges and absurd sentences Mswati may deem fit to mete out against them.
The course they stand for remains our central focus as such wish to call on all our local and international allies, friends and compatriots to support with all necessary material, technical and otherwise means to force King Mswati into releasing them and allowing the process of democratisation to start in the shortest reasonable period.
However, we wish to take this opportunity to advise all our allies and compatriots, in particular those outside our borders, that PUDEMO totally disassociate itself and vehemently deny ever being consulted or agreeing to be party to such a launch or press briefing led by the Swaziland Solidarity Network (SSN) somewhere in Johannesburg. This is in line with our clear previous position on SSN, which we are still going to deal with in due course. On the same breath we condemn SSN for using PUDEMO logo without permission in their banners. This we view as complete disrespect and uncomradely conduct which we have warned them about in the recent past.
