WFTU Africa supports very strongly the decision of Boycot, Divestment and
Sanctions
South Africa declared 'Week of Solidarity Action' and in particular the Night
Vigil of
Wedenesday morning to Thursday morning.
We are calling upon the international community to speed up the process which
must
culminate in the sovereignty and independence of the people of Palestine.
We are calling on the ANC and the SA Government to immediately close both
diplomatic
Missions in Apartheid Israel and South Africa.
This 'week of action' has been supported by several organisations which include
the
YCL of the SACP.
WFTU Africa is calling upon workers, the poor, our activists and militants to
heed this
'call of revolutionary solidarity duty' and participate in the several
activities organised
by our working class organisations against the criminal and illegitimate
bombings and
ethnocide against unarmed Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere.
Those workers, union staff and residents who are able to participate in the
Night Vigil
are asked to make sure they at the Dirco Offices in Tshwane tomorrow morning and
up until Thursday morning.
