Allegations within the Limpopo Provincial Government.doc

                                                08 February 2013

Press statement for immediate release

Daily Corruption Allegations within the Limpopo Provincial Government.

It is a worrying mental exercise to the ANCYL Limpopo and thoughtfully
to the general residents of the Limpopo Province with regard to
corruption allegations dominating the media and gossip corners of the
Province, which points fingers of wrong doing to government officials
and leadership of the Limpopo Provincial Government, particularly
since the late months of the year 2011. This is a song that looses
entertainment focus in our ears as the allegations themselves are
corrupt.

Press dominating since the past few years to date, the province is
deprived of its progressive thoughts clear from allegations and
endeavored guillotine which at the particular paths, compromises even
the integrity of those that wore shirts and caps of whistle blowers,
as the production of evidence to the corruption effect is currently
perceived as a cat and mouse grudge, emphatically as the character of
reporting corruption seems score settling, and in an event of such
vociferous act, the reporters seems desperate and exposes their wish
away agenda.

On the non delivery of textbooks
We have noted with disgust, the ongoing spreading of wicked yet
misleading reports by the Democratic Alliance through the media on the
non delivery of learner-teacher support material across the Province
of Limpopo.

The ANCYL Limpopo through our branches as it is where schools exists,
monitored the functioning of schools since the first term school
reopening days until now, and saw the positive response on delivery
and commencement of learning processes, of which learners have
received their textbooks, though the challenge remains the lack of
adequate teachers.
We therefore wish to call the Democratic Alliance and the Media to
desist from their misinformation, and further urge communities to
actively support the Department of Education by participating in the
day to day running of schools, in order to tackle challenges as in
when they arise.

On the Public Protector versus investigation and reporting on
allegations of corruption
Corruption is one act of selfishness that disadvantages the majority
of honest citizens which should never be tolerated, and as a result we
require genuine information which does not have political filament in
it, such that the Public Protector which seems to take eternity to
investigate can probe quickly.
The matters involving founder/s of the Limpopo Foundation, defrauding
the National Lottery Trust Fund were since submitted for scrutiny to
the Public Protector, as we are of a view that the money which is
intended at benefiting the destitute is used fraudulently to fund
political infightings and lavish life of an individual, same as the
money that is extorted from the Limpopo Geographic Names Committee,
and thus we call the Public Protector to report on progress,
particularly on these allegations and general corruption allegations
in the province as brought to her office ‘s attention the previous
months.

On Housing Tender Allegations in the Department of COGHSTA Limpopo
Business people who masquerade as tipoff marshals after their bid for
government contracts have failed are coming to a point of serious
concern, as after every closure of a Tender Bid, they march and claim
to be victimized by corruption before appointment letters can even be
typed or provision of service as appointed can be done.

As the residents of Limpopo we are tired of being used worse than
contraceptives by these businessmen and therefore intend to rally our
mass majority fully behind the Limpopo Provincial Government as we
acknowledge the qualitative public services rendered regardless of the
attempted coup d’état nearly brought by the imposition of Section
100.1.b. of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa which
handed the reigns of the Province to Administrators fuelled with Super
Powers, which for whatever reason they fail the people of Limpopo, and
at whoever ‘s interest they are not removed.

The imposition of the section brought heartaches to workers, patients
and the community at large, particularly at Hospitals such as Mankweng
and George Masebe to name a few as they keep mortuaries busy because
people die at facilities which they expect to receive cure, and thus
we expected COSATU as a vanguard for workers to rise and protect the
work environment rights of the workers not to frustrate them further
through at night colluding with Administrators

The Department of COGHSTA Limpopo was highly praised when a report
released on 05 February 2013 on allegation for tender misappropriation
dated 20 October 2011, relating to awarding of tenders to companies
alleged to have been linked to Comrade Julius Malema rubbished the
allegations and left the Department reputable, as this affirmed
earlier auditing which led to the receipt of an Award for Best
Performing Department on Human Settlement matters, which doomsayers
attempted to discredit such a sterling work.

To show an act of vendetta, when the report on corruption was recently
released, non amongst the Forum of Limpopo Entrepreneurs spoke a thing
as it once again exposed their foul cry and therefore our people must
reject them where they are seen as they are tigers camouflaged in
sheep skin.

We cannot allow a situation wherein streets of Polokwane are polluted
by marches of people who always breed allegations without substance,
we urge them to seek counseling if ever hurt by the recent award of
housing tenders, as we must be concerned of their health considering
their continuous unsound acts.

COSATU should wait for the investigation report as sanctioned by the
MEC, and stop acting like a baby who went the whole day without being
fed and randomly crying.

We further urge every young person with an interest to do business to
do so without fear because economic freedom is not tender blind, for
as long as they do things legitimately and comply with standards of
the South African Revenue Services, because we are committed to the
fight against corruption.
