Dear Thabo

Cde you have undertaken a challenging task of locating the context of Cde
Dlamini's prase, but it is still not clear to me. You sound like someone
speaking in tonques.Cde Dlamini was requested to resign for failing to execute
his responsibilities, ie uniting Cosatu. He did not resign. He was requested to
call a special congress so that he can be removed. He refused. He was advised
by the ANC SG not to persue Vavi as it would be costly, he also put his feet
down. Now he said anyone who want his position must come and take it. This is a
parable. He was actually speaking to someone who did not attend that shop
steward council. Devenish lamented that " despite perpetual kill... the ghost
refuses to die".I suppose he has lost the ground and he forsees a court
defeat. The principle of majority rule which he aluded to should be affirmed
through voting.

This is my personal view.

 Dear Mpho

Comrade, do you know this thing called "context"? Always,
 when you
read something, make extensive use of the context within
 which it is
said for you to understand it better. In all truth and fact
 your
complaint is just too petty and exposes your attitude
 towards
President S'dumo.  Obviously the president cannot be
 the giver of
positions in Cosatu as he knows he was elected. The context
 here is
that the president  had to show the pressures that come
 with being a
Cosatu president. Many people will view such a position
 merely as a
position of power, but thanks to President S'dumo for
 telling people
that it comes with major responsibility and pressure.

So, I advise you comrade to always focus on the context of a
 statement
 before you comment.
