Crisis Diary
This is a half-hour video of, made in SE Ukraine just before the Odessa
Massacre (Odessa is further to the West) happened. In the video, the Right
Sector forces are seen on the rampage, being motivated by a speech about
wanting a "white Europe", "the Europe of the Crusaders" et cetera. Also seen
are Ukranian army troops being disarmed by unarmed civilians, and film of
troops with heavy weapons moving towards Mariupol (see below). Mariupol is
on the Sea of Azov, close to the international border with Russia.

Odessa Massacre

One thing that is not being mentioned clearly enough is that this year is
the 70th Anniversary of the liberation of Ukraine from the fascists, by the
Red Army. The Soviet Union lost 600,000 troops defending Kiev in 1941. Kiev
was re-taken with more heavy losses in November, 1943. The Red Army re-took
Odessa on 10th April 1944 and Sevastopol on the 9th of May 1944.
This is why people in Ukraine are wearing Russian colours, and this wearing
of colours is what marks them out for killing by the "Right Sector"
fascists. It is also why both sides feel that they are involved in a replay
of the Second World War, that is to say an attempted re-conquest of the
country by the Western fascists, and a defence of their land against the
fascists by the people of the country, which is, by the way, a historically
proletarian part of the country.

of "balance" that people like R2K and SANEF in South Africa defend. So you
can be sure that the same people who want to talk one-sidedly about
Marikana, will not be saying anything at all about the Odessa Massacre of
trade unionists. Yet they regard themselves as defenders of press freedom.

Assessment
The Imperialists used the "Right Sector" fascists in Kiev between November
and February, and it worked for them.
Tactics that work are probably going to be repeated. The use of fascist
street gangs, the typical tactic of fascism from the time of Mussolini and
Hitler, is likely to continue in Ukraine until they are stopped in their
tracks. This is why, since the 1930s, the slogan of anti-fascists everywhere
has been, in Spanish, "No Paseran!" (They Shall Not Pass).
Up to now the Imperialists do not even admit to the existence of fascist
forces and tactics within this conflict. This, by itself, is evidence of
their collusion with the fascists, who you can see on film through the links
in this message, and have been seeing on television for six months already.
They deny what is in front of our eyes because they don't want to stop this
thing.
Russia is our ally in BRICS and this is an economic war, not in the first
place an ideological one, against the BRICS countries in general, while
China is being encircled (the US "Pivot to Asia"), and Brazil is being
subverted through NGOs. India and South Africa are having elections. Both
new leaders (of India and of South Africa) may be summoned to Washington
after the elections, and presented with demands.
We are now a power in the world and we are involved at the top level with
the politics of the world as a whole. We have no choice but to pay
attention.
What will happen in Ukraine is hard to see. A lot more observation will be
necessary.
