I am also not sure if I understand you, clearly. Washington does like to receive visits from newly-elected leaders. Not all of them go. Not all of the ones who go, submit or bend the knee. It is not a foregone conclusion. But Washington might have messages for India and South Africa. It's possible. I don't think we should be in a hurry to come to conclusions. This is not a straightforward situation. The Russian Federation is not the Soviet Union, yet it finds itself faced with another Cold War. RT is not a communist television channel. China used to be friendly to the USA, from the time of President Nixon's "ping-pong diplomacy", many years ago. But now, the USA is banging war drums all around the pacific, against China. Brazil is being crucified over the World Cup, which is almost incredible when you think that it has a good claim to being the greatest football country in the world. The only explanation is that it is about economic things, and therefore it is bound to be about BRICS. The problem is not that everyone is serving the USA. The problem arises to the extent that they are *not* doing so. This problem is made worse insofar as the self-inflicted difficulties of the USA cannot be solved, not even by its most devoted servants, such as the EU, when the USA representative Victoria Nuland can say "Fuck the EU!" The USA wants nice, and at the same time rejects niceness. This is a sick and unpredictable situation. We can discuss it only to the extent that we have not yet fixed the conclusion of our discussion. If we had already concluded, then we were going to reject all new empirical evidence, and all new theoretical exploration, just at the time when we need as much intelligence as we can possibly get, and the best thinking that we can get.
