MKMVA URGENT PRESS RELEASE Tuesday, 09 September 2014 PRESS STATEMENT OF THE NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON OF MKMVA WITHDRAWING THE STATEMENTS MADE ON SATURDAY AND MONDAY REGARDING THE PUBLIC PROTECTOR. On Saturday and Monday, I made statements in my capacity as the National Chairperson on behalf of Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association ( MKMVA) about the Public Protector. After consultation with my organization, the African National Congress, it would seem as though my statements have been misunderstood and misinterpreted. I therefore withdraw those statements and apologize for any offense and hurt that would have been caused. However, the behavior and conduct of the Public Protector remains a source of concern to us.
