SACP Press Alert, 27 October 2014 SACP to hold a press conference: Radical Transition Document Launch The SACP will hold a Press Conference to publicly launch its discussion document on the Second Radical Phase of our Transition from the colonial-apartheid system. The launch of this document, titled 'Going to the root: A Radical Second Phase of the National Democratic Revolution, its Context, Content and our Strategic Tasks', appears ahead of two important gatherings of South Africa's liberation movement: the SACP Special National Congress (April 2015) and the ANC National General Council (June 2015). The document will not only be made available to all sections of our movement but to the South African people as a whole and to all people in the world struggling for an alternative to monopoly capitalism in its national and international aspects, especially in its current phase of rapacious financialisation with devastating economic, social and political consequences, as well as ecological degradation. There is a Revolutionary Alternative for us in South Africa: Forward to the Second Radical Phase of our Transition! Details of the Press Conference are as follows Date: 29 October 2014 (Wednesday) Time: 9h00-10h30 Venue: Cape Town (Details of the exact physical address TBC in due course) The Press Conference will be addressed by General Secretary, Comrade Blade Nzimande and First Deputy General Secretary, Comrade Jeremy Cronin.
