ANC PR List and Ward Candidate Selection Process, 2016 Please, if anyone has the ANC's guidelines for selecting candidates for the 2016 local authority elections, please scan it for us and post it to the group, or direct to me, [email protected]. We will need this document for the CU "Induction" course, which will start as soon as we have finished the current "Basics" course. I presume these guidelines will be in two parts. One will be the list process for the PR councillors, while the other will be the ward selection or election process. In 2011 there was a consultative process involving mass meetings, which went o.k. in some places, but in others there were accusations, and then there was a commission led by Cde Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, after which quite a few councillors were removed, resulting in by-elections. It will be crucial for cadres to be well versed in the guidelines at an early stage, so that we can make sure it works as well as it possibly can.
