ANC calls for discipline

ANC considers utterances attributed to its former Treasurer General, Cde
Mathew Phosa and former ANCYL Deputy President, Ronald Lamola in a serious
light. The comments were made over the weekend during their address at the
Joe Slovo lecture in Middleburg, Mpumalanga.

We consider their utterances highly provocative and we raise issue with
their conduct as ANC members.

The ANC National Leadership led by the ANC Secretary General, has visited
the Mpumalanga province on numerous occasions to meet with the structures of
both ANC and SACP. The team of veterans has been appointed to investigate
the KwaNyamazane incidents and the root cause of disunity.

ANC calls on both members to refrain from making inflammatory statements
that may undermine the political process underway.

Whatever views comrades have about ANC leadership, this must never erode the
discipline expected of ANC members.
