The South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) has reiterated its
members will not be taking part in this year's Annual National Assessment
(ANA) exams.

SADTU has accused Basic Education Minister Angie Motsekga of disrespecting
the union after she announced on Friday that the assessments will go ahead
at the end of the year.

The union says it's not satisfied with the standard of the exams.

Spokesperson Nomusa Cembi said, "The decision they took shows utter
disrespect for the union. We are stakeholders in education."
