ANC no letters.jpg Media Alert, 16 November 2015 ANC January 8th Statement and 104th Anniversary Celebration Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Rustenburg, Saturday, 9 January 2016 January 8, 2016 will mark the 104th year since the formation of the South African National Native Congress, the predecessor to our glorious movement, the African National Congress on the 8th January 1912 in Manguang. Successive Presidents of the ANC, have delivered annually on behalf of the National Executive Committee, the NEC January 8 Statement which reflects on the path traversed towards the attainment of the movement's historic mission to build a united, non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous society. The January 8 Statement further identifies and focuses the movement on the urgent tasks at a particular period in the advancement of our revolution, giving marching orders to structures and members of our movement on pressing issues that together, with our people, they must attend to with the necessary urgency in the coming year. The African National Congress has commenced with preparations for the 104th Anniversary Celebration, which as per resolution of the National Executive Committee, will be hosted by the North West Province at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Rustenburg on Saturday 9 January 2016.
