Eyewitness News 3.png Teachers Sick and Tired of Overcrowded Classrooms Thando Kubheka, Eye Witness News, Johannesburg, 7 May 2016 The South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) says it's sick and tired of its members being forced to teach in overcrowded classrooms, with government turning a blind eye. Yesterday the union launched a countrywide picket in Meyersdale, Alberton. It says the current manner in which teachers are being distributed in schools is causing over crowing in classrooms and putting teachers under pressure. Spokesperson Nomusa Cembi says, "Our members are sick and tired of teaching classrooms that are like mass meetings because it affects the quality of education we provide."
