doh. and so was the edit of my email.

where "it" meant editing your bookmark from the delicious page

playing around firefox extension meant using the tag toolbar button on
a page you've already saved and editing the URL field.

I don't know if the behavior is consistent or expected. maybe it will
change. act now while you still can. this offer not valid in many
states.
