If you just type in words to search for, it should search the description, tags, site name, etc. Like the link below says, there are advanced (read: pain in the butt) ways to search using operators, but it's not yet that simple to do. As for not getting back search results from your own links, the response I received from delicious/yahoo yesterday (or day before) is that some of the user bookmarks have been corrupted and they are working to get them restored by Monday. I have several items of crochet, for example (that contain the word crochet in the title, description, and keyword). So far, only two of the link show up when I search my own bookmarks. So, I guess it's still not working for me.
