MagnoliaSoutherly, First, sorry about your problems; I'm happy to try and help. The extension is designed to download your del.icio.us bookmarks into the extension, while simutaneously importing your local bookmarks to del.icio.us. Even if the import is not complete, you should have access to both your local bookmarks and del.icio.us bookmarks almost immediately. The only noticeable effect from an incomplete import would be that your local bookmarks would not be visible if you visited your bookmarks page on the del.icio.us website. We were having some delays with the imports last week, but this weekend and today we're doing a much better job of keeping up, thanks to the hard work of our engineering team.
It sounds like there may be some issue with bookmarks coming into your extension. Can you email your del.icio.us userid and firefox version to my email address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), and I'll see what I can do to investigate.
