I must point out that it was the upgrade process that I found unsatisfactory -- it's a crap shoot IMO. I'm sure that 4.0 is a more useful OS than 3.0.1 for most users (I don't use any features and software special to 4.0/4.0.1 so I can't comment on 4.0 vs. 3.0.1).
