Hi Chris, I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure I'm responding
correctly by sending my message to this default address but guess
I'll find out when it's posted:
I installed YDL 4.1 on my external Firewire drive today and got the
same results as you've described: after installation, when selecting
linux at the yaboot prompt, I get diverted to open firmware which
promptly freezes. I tried rebooting holding the Tab key down to get
the graphic boot screen (I forget what it's called), selected the
firewire drive, selected the arrow to continue and the results were
the same.
I had previously installed this distribution on a a second internal
drive and it worked ok. I don't have a solution to the Firewire boot
problem but was hoping that you might have figured something out. If
you have, I'd be a happy camper if you would share it with me.
