I tried to install YDL5.0 and it begins, goes a few minutes down the
road, and stops saying that *.rpm file cannot be read (possibly corrupt
media). I tried this a couple of more times and got the same error but
it mentioned a different *.rpm file. I am using a DVD+RW disc. Any
suggestions?

Also, I burned the iso file from my windows box. After burning, I
noticed that explorer didn't show an *iso file on the DVD, but listed
the complete file structure. Does this mean that I didn't create an
image on the DVD?

To be more precise about this than my previous
reply:

- push the black box icon - right side. It starts
counting down - what I don't know (yet).

- click the next button to the left, Nautilus it
says and voila there it goes.... this is very
   bad.

So I am foolish, stupid, anything but then again
when I built systems that was a design criteria,
fool-proof systems.
