You may want to "Reset Sync Data..." to try and resolve any anomalies.

1. Why doesn't BB Support ask the Synch mode setting when someone
has problems with synchronization?
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is the official support channel, not the
mailing list.
3. Is it just Yojimbo for which Automatic Synch mode does not work
reliably? It seemed to work for iCal, Address Book, Mail, Safari
Bookmarks just fine.
I think there's a lot more factors to look at beyond just the feature
not working reliably. I have mine set to "Every Day" since I only use
one computer regularly, so that may be a factor in my success. I
haven't had any significant issues with Syncing.
4. What is Automatic mode and why does it exist if the algorithm is
patently flawed? Given it is Apple's technology I don't expect BB
to fix that, however see the next three questions.
Automatic, by my best guess, means that it would synchronize whenever
there is a change made (at some periodic check), meaning it would be
more frequent than once an hour.
5. Has BB complained to Apple that Automatic Mode is unreliable?
Has BB filed any defect reports on this?
Sync problems are a hot topic, so I'm sure BB is doing everything
they can.
6. When I select Yojimbo in .Mac synch, why cannot BB put up a
warning that I am in Automatic mode and it doesn't work reliably?
Or maybe put that up when I select Yojimbo for synchronization.
Yojimbo/BB doesn't have control over the .Mac sync panel. That
belongs to Apple.
7. Has BB tried to get Apple to tell them how to use the Service
API to ensure Automatic Synchronization mode works reliably--if
that can be done at all?
See answer to #5.
Data Synchronization is a very sophisticated process. .Mac syncing
has working really well given the complexity of the systems
(disparate computers, Internet routing, etc)
