I've created an automator workflow that will take a bunch of images
and convert them into a single PDF. The PDF is then opened in Preview
and you'll have to save it (it's created as a temporary file in
/private/tmp). The images will be assembled in order of name
(ascending) ...e.g. image 1.png, image 2.png, regardless of the order
they appear in the Finder. You can change this order (e.g. by date,
or by name descending) by editing the workflow. If you open this
workflow in Automator and Save As Plug-In to create a Finder plug in
you'll be able to access this with the contextual menu by selecting
files in the finder and control-clicking. You can get the workflow
here:

Here's an Automator workflow that should do the trick.

Unzip the workflow, then drag and drop your images to the workflow's
icon. Converted PDFs will be put into the same folder as the original
images. This workflow produces a single PDF for each image. So if
you have multi-page documents to convert, you'll need to combine this
with something like Combine PDFs:

Or use Automator per this tip:

files, many residing in DEVONthink -- and more PNGs just waiting for me -- and it
would be great to find a quick'n'easy way to get them into Yojimbo.

in Apple Preview and "printed" it to a PDF. The resulting PDF was not as clear as
the original PNG -- but was usable, and of course it was acceptable to Yojimbo. A
knowledgeable friend suggested that the print-to-PDF mechanism may involve creation of a JPG
as an interim step.
