As this does not seem to be a consistent problem, and as Steve (Kalkwarf) brought up the question of having Acrobat installed, does this mean the PDF problem relates to an installed Acrobat software?
Since we haven't seen the problem, I have no way of telling what causes it.
Given some of the skanky things Acrobat does to the system, it seems like a likely suspect. Does anybody have the described problem, and NOT have Acrobat installed?
Is anybody having the problem willing to try uninstalling Acrobat to see if the problems clear up?
