My search brought me to your site. I'm not sure if your kernelis close to
that of Suse or Fedora but there does seem to be similar problems with
certain hardware and a grub file called menu.lst being corrupt after
installation and no boot. Namely, Nvidia graphics cards an the Asus A8V
mainboards with which I have witnessed it myself.
