Hi tobias,

I will do smart install acpid .. and tell you about it later .. perhaps it
is just not getting pulled in like you said ..
i will let you know .. soon ..

I guess if we can autodetect the swap properly .. we can add the suspend
line on the fly to lilo.conf .. later on ..
and when we are ready for grub we can do this for grub too .. i noticed
there are two entries in grub .. grub.conf .. and menu.lst ..
i need to readup on grub .. a bit more .. on other distros .. it is either
using menu.lst or grub.conf .. .. at least this has been my experience so
far .. after having played around with it a lot .. which one are we using ..
????

As for bootup time .. it all looks great and bootup time is much faster imho
.... so great basically .. :D ..
When it is decided to check my drive it is offcourse slower .. but i dont
see this regularly .. so normally fast boot ..
when fsck needs to do some checking after xx mounts .. i would be a fool to
say no .. drive integrity is paramount .. imho ..
But again what it all boils down to ... great stuff .. tobig .. we are
getting close to getting the base pretty complete ... and working out of the
box pretty soon .. i think .. now .. off course test reports on lots of
different hardware .. will make this a lot easier .. and we cant do without
it .. to make sure it is working like it should .. so congrats ..

Cheers,

Johnbon

Hi,

please do smart install acpid . Seems like it's not pulled in by
default. Will take a look at it. Thanks for the hint.

Thanks. Good to know it works on other boxes as well. What do you
think about the bootup time? Did it improve ?
