Hi all,

I am Mallikarjuna Reddy Kalikiri from INDIA.
Can I know the approximate date when Yoper will be out.
I have a system with configuration P IV 1.7 Northwood 845G chipset based
board. 256 MB DDR (266Mhz)
I got bored of my system hanging (runninf on M$ software). So I decided
to try out Linux.
My requirements are
1.Get maximum out of my hardware.(a speedy OS will do) (small foot print
,remove unnecessary bloat)
2.Get the performance from the hardware I paid for. (I need a i686
specific builds)
choices: CRUX ,Arch,Zenwalk,Yoper (found recently in Google)
3.I dont want to run outdated Kernels for the sake of speed.

Right now Zenwalk is cruising away in my system.

I want to suggest a few changes to yoper If I can.

I want only one package per type.(eg) Mplayer and Xine. One is enough.
amarok and XMMS one is good.

Implementation. during package selection we need a default selection and
an expert section
default section installs one application per type of applicatios.
like Xine,firefox,gaim,ect.
The exper section, users can select the packeges they want.

I know this is not just a single persons decision. Please post this idea
in the forum and see what the users vote for.
If the users think that its a good idea ,you can follow it.

Thanks & Regards
Mallikarjun Reddy K
