Blimey! Not my day is it? Looks like I simply sent the previous mail out
again. Apologies.

It was meant to say -

It points to ftp.yoper.com/something. I assume it needs to point to the IP
address where the rpms currently can be found?

Perhaps it could simply be added to one of the current screens rather than
creating a new one?

Yep, they were not causing any issues for me.

Sadly, my own understanding of smart is virtually nil. Although I have
experimented with it in the test isos over the last year or so, I still have
little idea!  A guide - written in simple terms, easy to follow, would be
really useful. The technical overviews provided by the wiki and links from
there are useful to developers and provide a few clues to general users, but
they are not really aimed at the user who simply wants to change his/her
channels or find out some general info.
Smart works well enough - it picks up dependancies and adds them to the list
of files for download in the same way that apt does, but it is not a package
manager which is familiar to most users.

As I mentioned in the earlier mail, the latest iso is very quick at boot
time - you have made a big difference there in comparison to other distros.
The basics of the new Yoper seem to be in place - things work well, apart from
the general problems which seem to affect all KDE based distros - e.g the
first time KDE is run, you always seem to see a crash from it. I see that a
lot with KDE, but it is always a one off - it never happens again.  I have
never bothered looking into it because it is just a one off and I always
forget till the next time I install a KDE distro!
